Koaloha Factory Tour - part two

A box of necks!


And an ingenious fretboard scoring machine:


Using simply heated water and a basic heated metal tube, this is the side bending station:


Bent sides are secured for aprox 24 hrs to moulds that match the specific uke size.

Next the bracing is attached. Note the patented rectangular brace with the curved inside edge. Koaloha bracing is so well engineered that no kerfing is necessary in their ukes. 


The Koaloha uke body is strong enough to hold Dennis's 180 buff pounds of body weight!


The uke bodies start to meetup with their necks:


Exciting to hold a July 2015 uke that's almost finished!
